Produkty Pitania History

Produkty Pitania is a young, exciting, and growing Russian company that has been setting the standard in production of frozen ready-to-cook foods for the last five years.

Known for its drive for growth, the Company is constantly increasing its capacities and expanding its output in compliance with the strategic goal to maintain leadership of the market of ready-to-cook goods.

1994 - the company was founded and entered the frozen poultry meat business.

1998 -  senior management decided to construct production facilities of its own. The Company began building a frozen ready-to-cook goods factory in Kaliningrad Oblast.  Kaliningrad is the most business-friendly economic area, offering all the advantages of a European transport nodal point.  The company leased facilities to produce that The Zolotoy Petushok brand.  Capacity at these facilities was 1.5 t/h, and the yearly output amounted to 40.3 tons.

Two distribution centers were also placed in to operation, one in the settlement of Staraya Kupavna, Moscow Region, storage capacity 1000 tons, and the other in the Cossack village of Bryukhovetskaya, Krasnodar Kray, storage capacity 5000 tons. Payroll included over 30 employees at this time.

1999 - the production capacity of the flavored chicken line was increased to 2.5 t/h, and the annual output reached 1682.85 tons.  At this time, the number of employees had increased to over 140. 

2000 – The first production line of the plant commissioned.

2002 – Two new production lines with the total capacity of 1,250 kg per hour were commissioned to produce ready-to-cook convenience products.

2003 – The plant’s second building was commissioned.

2004 – Construction of the biggest and most productive third production building began. The building was to be furnished with modern hi-tech NIJAL equipment producing unique ready-to-cook convenience products with fillings. In addition, Produkty Pitania built a railroad branch to ensure transportation of its products directly from the production facility to any region of Russia.

2005 – Production shop No. 4 was commissioned to produce dough products (lasagna, ready-to-eat meals etc.). All of storage and other infrastructure was introduced at the same time.


2006 – The company signs an investment agreement on construction of a new dough products plant in Gusev, Kaliningrad region.


2007 - The third process building of the plant was commissioned together with the company’s own testing production facility.


2008 - Construction of preserved products plant began in Gusev, Kaliningrad region.
