Damir Imamovic: Trade and professional associations is one of the most dynamic and promising sectors of civil society in Russia

According Produkty Pitania’s Vice-President, Damir Imamovic, Russia’s trade and professional associations are critical to the country’s long-term social and economic growth.
“These organizations provide us with greater leverage in that they facilitate a powerful dialog between business and government. This exchange allows companies to make better decisions, thereby creating a more favorable business climate for everyone.”
Imamovic explained that Produkty Pitania heartily supports the concept and has established close working relations with these associations wherever the company sets up shop - most notably in the Kaliningrad region. “They offer us new avenues for cooperation. In fact, our experience has been that even in Russia, consumer markets grow more quickly in areas where business associations flourish.”
In looking ahead to future growth, Imamovic predicted that such organizations would join forces in creating a larger trade community. “There is definitely power in numbers, particularly for smaller businesses, most of which need all the help they can get.”
